How to remove junk files in the disk

After we have bought a computer, we will find that there will be all kinds of junk files arising in the hard disc due to our actions to add, remove software and surf in internet when we are operating it. And the continuous expansion of these junk files will not only take up our precious space in the hard disc, but also slow down the computer and affect the efficiency of our work. Why are there so many junk files?
Some are the temporary files during the process of software installation. For some software when being installed, they should extract themselves to a temporary directory, usually the Temp directory in Windows first and then install themselves. If something happens, for example, the design negligence in software or system problem, these temporary files will not “temporary” any more and turn to a pile of garbage in hard disc after the completion of the installation. At most time, they end up with *.tmp.
Sometimes, the software will produce the temporary files when they are running. After that, hundreds of megabytes junk is left, such as the backup files end with .old or bak. And because the uninstalling mechanism of Windows is not perfect, and most software is linked to DLL, the *. dll files and other unknown files can not be removed clearly and become the real waste.
Since the temporary files – junk files have a bad effect on our computer and our work as well, we should take action to remove them. Here, we should learn how to clean junk files. The simplest way is to depend on the tools in computer itself. In the path of Start Menu – Accessories – System Tools – Disk Cleanup, we can remove junk files with ease. But we should notice whether these system files are considered as waste and junk.
We, of course, can clean up the hard disk with some PC cleaners, mainly the software. There are lots of software to clean temporary files and junk files. IE Privacy Keeper and CCleaner are good ones. In addition, some people take advantage of HDValet, which is well accepted by most young people because with it, we can clean our hard disc quickly and easily. We can set up the temporary files and junk files which we want to find and remove by ourselves. What we should do is to click once, and all the junk files disappear.
